Each time you head out of your home base, you never know if you will be coming back! There is a real risk and reward thing going on here in regards to the crafting and loot gathering portion of the game. We are talking about stuff like weapons, ammo, building resources, clothes and more. You have tons of stuff that you can make in this game. One of the main aspects of this game is not just fighting off the undead and other survivors. Still, trying to survive in this undead hell all by yourself does make you feel like a badass. Working together does have its advantages and with the right people, it can be a great deal of fun. I was pretty much suspicious of everyone out there, but I did team up at one point and we had a pretty good community going. I had a great deal of fun playing the game on my own. As well as playing it on your own, you can also jump into a sandbox mode which in all honesty is not my cup of tea, but it was still fun. The game throws a lot of objectives your way so it is going to take you a fair bit of time to get through. It has a kind of Walking Dead/28 Days Later thing going on and that is cool with me. To survive, you need to be very well prepared. There is a campaign in 7 Days To Die and it is pretty much what you would expect. The game can be difficult, as your base will be attacked every week by huge hordes of zombies. The graphics seem dull at first, but you soon get used to them. It’s interesting to run around and discover new places, level up and complete missions. This aspect can be challenging for those looking for a more realistic experience, and frustrating for builders who simply want to be creative and construct huge buildings. However, in 7 Days to Die, you also have to consider the laws of physics. They’re enough to create anything you want, and it works (almost) like Minecraft. In terms of the game’s strengths, I should mention that it contains a large number of building blocks. If you’re motivated enough, you can also create your own server. You can play it solo, cooperatively or online. Nevertheless, it remains one of the most popular open-world survival games. It’s been almost 10 years since 7 Days to Die was first released in early access, which has its positive and negative points. In its current state on consoles, the game is technically playable, but that’s the best that can be said of it. This is an apocalypse amongst apocalypses.ħ Days to Die on console is a terrible port of a game which otherwise shows real promise on PC, where it currently languishes in Early Access. In fact, you can almost hear them screaming to escape from beneath terrible graphics, barely useable menu controls, and shoddy console optimization. There’s a hint of a good game in 7 Days to Die’s mix of zombie attack preparedness and crafting and cooperative stands against zombies, and it has valuable ideas to contribute to the genre.
